Tour summary:

1

Day 1: BISHKEK–CHUNKURCHAK GORGE 45 km/1.5 hrs

Upon arrival to Bishkek, meeting at the airport and transfer to Bishkek where you will have a dinner at local restaurant. After dinner, transfer from Bishkek to Chunkurchak Gorge. This is a unique place, where your eye catches the fantastic valley, snow-capped peaks of the majestic mountains, which are visible on the horizon. Running mountain river at the foot of the mountain slopes located interspersed with alpine meadows and forest belts of juniper, pine, larch, birch, rowan and numerous species of shrubs. Upon arrival, check in. Overnight at Chunkurchak Gorge

Day 2: CHUNKURCHAK GORGE- CHON-KEMIN 200km/4-5hrs

Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Chon-Kemin, on the way, stop at Don-Aryk Village where you will be witness of the famous horseback game called ULAK-TARTYSH (Buzkashi) then you will have lunch at Kyrgyz family and have a chance to taste one of the Kyrgyz National Food (which is called Besh-Barmak it means Five Finger leaking food). Afternoon, visit Burana Tower, the remains of the ancient city of Balasaguni formed by the Karakhanid dynasty in the 10thcentury. After excursion in Burana Tower continue driving to Chon-Kemin. Upon arrival, Check in. Free time before Dinner. Dinner and Overnight at hotel. Note: Today, if you like, we can arrange Horse Game but it is optional/ Supplementary

Day 3 : CHON-KEMIN –TAMCHY- CHOLPON-ATA/(PETROGLYPHS/BOAT RIDE)/Rukh-Ordo- 180 km/2-3hrs

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, leave towards the city of Cholpon-Ata through the Issyk-Kul Lake’s Northern shore. On the way stop at the Tamchy village to visit local Kyrgyz family’s house to observe and participate in a Felt Craft Show. After the show, there is a homemade lunch with the family members. Visit the Open Air Petroglyphs Museum (stone inscriptions) and Rukh-Ordo Cultural Complex in Cholpon-Ata town then take one-hour cruise on a boat. Later, check in.Free time before Dinner. (Optional: you may go for smimming in Issykul lake). Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Overnight in Cholpon-Ata. Note: Today, if you like, we can arrange 1-hour Boat Ride in Issykkul Lake but it is optional/ Supplementary

Day 4: CHOLPON-ATA-KARAKOL/ALTYN ARASHAN (Hot Springs) 150 km/2hrs

Breakfast at hotel.
Drive to Karakol, one of the first towns of the Russian Cossak settlements in the late 19th century. Upon Arrival go to Sightseeing tour: visit the Dungan mosque and an old wooden Orthodox Church. One of its highlights is the fact that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. You will enjoy walking along streets with blue-framed windows and gingerbread-style houses. Lunch at local restaurant. Change Bus to Russian 4WD Truck to go to Altyn Arashan (Hot-Springs). Upon Arrival, go for 1-2 hrs walking Around the Altyn-Arashan (Hot-Springs). Then Drive back to Karakol before Dinner. Dinner at local restaurant. + Kyrgyz folk concert. Overnight in Karakol.

Day 5: KARAKOL CITY-JETI-OGUZ-TOSSOR-EKI NARYN VALLEY 350 KM/ 7-8 HRS

Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Eki Naryn valley via Tosor Pass (about 3900 m), where during Jeeping time you will have a lot of extreme because you will be surrounded by the beautiful snow-capped Tien- Shien Mountains. Then through Tosor pass. Tosor pass is situated on Terskey Ala-Too mountain range at the altitude of 3900 m. Through it was paved a road connecting Issyk Kul and Naryn regions. The pass is quite difficult for passage. It has rather steep and rocky snow-covered trails. Standing high on the pass you can feel the sense of serenity, and it seems as if mountains are breathing nearby. On the way to the pass stands the village Tosor. Along the way, we have a stop to watch eagle-hunting, one of the ancient traditions of Kyrgyz people. Picnic en route in open air condition or in shepherd’s yurt. After lunch continue driving to Eki-Naryn Valley. Overnight and Dinner at Yurt Camp.

Day 6: EKI NARYN VALLEY-KEL-SUU LAKE 160 KM/3-4 HRS

Breakfast at camp.
After breakfast, drive to Kol-Suu lake, where you will head deeper into the remote mountains lake near the Chinese border. The Kel Suu Lake which is situated deep in the mountains close to the Chinese border. Kel-Suu Lake which lies at 3500-meter Elevation. Kel-Suu Lake fills a narrow, rock gorge, where it goes underground making it much more exciting and it makes Kel-Suu Lake a truly mysterious lake. The road of the Kel-Suu Lake is unpredictable and it is changing every season and that’s why there is an option where we will take the Jeeps because only Jeeps can make it all the way there, but if not, the destination point will be done on horses. Camp near the lake or stay in a local family’s yurt

Day 7: KEL-SUU LAKE- TASH-RABAT CARAVANSERAI- NARYN TOWN 250 KM/4-5 HRS

Breakfast at camp.
After breakfast, start your trekking to Kel Suu lake which will take us about 2hrs. Spend time for enjoying with gtreat scenery of Kel-Suu Lake and landscapes which are surrounding it. Picnic/Lunch on the way. Afternoon, depart to naryn Town via Tash-Rabat caravansarei, where you will have chance to see the XV-XVI c Rock-building and time for hiking around Tash Rabat valley. Upon arrival. Check in. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: NARYN TOWN – SON-KOL LAKE 170 KM/3-4HRS

Breakfast at guesthouse.
After breakfast, drive to Son-Kol Lake the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan via 32 serpentine pass 3350 m, where you will be guaranteed for fantastic view to whole Karatal Gorge. We will also be driving along Naryn river, which is the longest in Kyrgyzstan at 535km which flows into the Aral Sea. Upon arrival at Son Kul lake located at 3,013m above sea level, we will have free time to relax from the long drive. Horseback riding trip around the surroundings is also available. Overnight and Dinner at Yurt camp

Day 9: SON-KOL LAKE VIA KYZYL-OI VILLAGE – SUUSAMYR VALLEY (300 KM/6-7HRS)

After breakfast, we depart to Suusamyr valley via Kyzyl Oi Village which is located in a narrow gorge besides the powerful Kokomeren River. Our journey takes us across one of the most beautiful and fascinating landscape framed by the red-colored mountains, which gave the place its name. Kyzyl means ‘red’ and Oi means Bowl in Kyrgyz. Suusamyr valley is a popular place where shepherds bring their sheeps and horses to graze during the summer. Overnight and Dinner at Mare’s Milk Remedial center Baytur.

Day 10: SUUSAMYR VALLEY – SARY-CHELEK LAKE 360KM/7-8HRS

Full day drive to Sary-Chelek. On the way you will be passing one of the most beautiful reservoirs in Central Asia, Toktogul, that funnels the gorgeous Naryn River into a hydroelectric station. Then continue drive to Sary-Chelek lake. The Sary Chelek biosphere reserve lies in the Arkit Gorge and surrounded by the Chatkal Mountains . There are many varieties of flora and fauna, especially wild flowers to be found inside this biosphere reserve. Dinner with a local family. O/N Family run basic accommodation with shared toilet.

Day 11: SARY-CHELEK LAKE- ARSLANBOB 230 KM/5-6 HRS

After early breakfast, we drive 45min towards Sary-Chelek lake to hike around the beautiful lake and enjoy the wonderful views. After lunch, we drive 5 hour towards Arslanbob village. Along the way, we will pass by the fertile lands filled with fruits and vegetable farms that borders Uzbekistan. By evening, we will reach the small village of Arslanbob populated mainly by more conservative Uzbek ethnic people. O/N family run accommodation with shared toilets.

Day 12: ARSLANBOB-OSH 180 KM/3-4 HRS

Arslanbob’s scenic beauty and pleasant climate, as well as two impressive waterfalls, attract tourists, pilgrims and other visitors during the spring and summer months. After breakfast, our chartered vehicles bring us to the start of our waterfall hike. After hike, we get transferred to the large and sacred wild walnut forest for picnic lunch. This is one of the biggest walnut forests in the world, which is cared for by the local villagers. We then travel 4.5 hours towards Osh. Along the way, we pass through the fertile Fergana valley and a short stop by Uzgen to visit a historic mausoleum & minaret. Uzgen town was one of the capitals of the Karakhanid State in the 11th and 12th centuries. O/N Osh guesthouse.

Day 13: OSH-BISHKEK BY FLIGHT

After breakfast, we go for sightseeing tour around Osh, which is the 2nd largest city in Kyrgyzstan. Legends said Osh was founded by King Solomon ages ago and had an important position on trading routes of the Great Silk Road. Today you will visit Too (Solomon’s Mountain), museum and Osh bazaar – this market still operates from the same place since the heydays of Great Silk Road. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, we are transferred to the local airport for short domestic flight back to Bishkek. After check-in to hotel, we proceed to local restaurant for dinner. O/N Bishkek hotel

Day 14: BISHKEK-ALA-ARCHA NATIONAL PARK-AIRPORT

After breakfast go to explore the wonderful Ala-Archa National park for the next 2-3 hours by hiking in the heart of this breathtaking gorge which is covered with alpine meadows and forest belts of juniper, pine, larch, birch, rowan and numerous species of shrubs and so on. Late Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, drive back to Bishkek. Upon arrival go for sightseeing tour of Bishkek which includes: The Central Square Ala-Too, Historical museum, Oak and Panfilov park, and your last destination will be Osh bazaar, which keeps the spirit of East bazaars. Afternoon, shopping and later transfer to airport.Breakfast at hotel.
